Illustrator/Cartoonist/Graphic Designer/Software Developer/Mental Health Advocate/Metal Head

Brian lives in Maryland with his wife, two children, and a household of lizards and cats, and 1 bunny rabbit. He has a BA in clinical psychology, certification in software engineering and has been a professional graphic designer for over 20 years but his love has always been cartoons, comic books, kaijus, and toys. He is a strong advocate for self-care, meditation, and helping to lift others who might be going through mental health struggles. He is part of the staff of 2 mental health organizations, The Ed Lally Foundation and HeartSupport where he provides encouragement, hope, and insight based on his own struggles and successes.

He has been drawing since he was a kid, daydream doodling superheroes while in high school Algebra, but always pursued more “responsible” careers ahead of his art. Now, later in life, he’s giving his art a chance with a new mindset you’re never too old to give your dreams a shot. Brian illustrated a series of 4 children’s books: Meet Puppy Brian, Puppy Brian and the Grey Cat, Puppy Brian and Brother Vinny, and Puppy Brian and the Holiday Gift. He also created an original comic book story that he is currently writing and illustrating called H. Jekyll, Private Hyde. The love of art, comics, and monsters drives him to always be learning how to improve, refine and create. We all benefit from some form of creative outlet. It’s good for the soul and the mind.
